Peugeot 308: Cleaning : Unions on the fuel high pressure common injection rail (HPI)

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

N.B. : Use the products recommended by the manufacturer .

1. Tooling

Equipment :

• degreasing product (Index "N1" )
• Cleaning tray
• Brush
• Vacuum extractor
• Round end-piece

2. Method of operation

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations specific to (THP) petrol direct injection engines .

Clean the repair areas(at "a") :

• Pour the degreasing product "N1" into the cleaning tray
• Dip the brush in the degreaser
• Clean and simultaneously vacuum ; Using the vacuum cleaner and the round end piece
• Clean the vacuum cleaner and the round adaptor after use

Dry and wipe the high pressure fuel unions ; Using a high precision wiper.

Clean the repair areas (Following removal of the rail and injectors ) (at "b" , "c") :

• Pour the degreasing product "N1" into the cleaning tray
• Dip the brush in the degreaser
• Clean the area "b", "c" and vacuum simultaneously ; Using the vacuum cleaner and the round end piece
• Clean the vacuum cleaner and the round adaptor after use

CAUTION : After opening the fuel injection system, any cleaning is strictly forbidden.
