Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Direct voltage transformer

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

N.B. : Traction circuit: traction battery electrical network.

1. Tooling

Workshop equipment : Insulation bag.

2. Location

(1) Direct voltage transformer.

3. Preliminary operations

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

Remove the rear left protector under the body.

ESSENTIAL : Switch the vehicle’s power off .

Drain the hybrid drive train cooling circuit .

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Disconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries(depending on equipment).

Remove the ancillaries battery .

4. Removing

Remove the protector (2).

Remove :

• Nut (3)
• The closer (5)

Move aside the electrical harness (4).

Remove the nuts (6),(7).

Detach the electrical power harness ‎(at "a").

Move the earth cable (8) aside.

Move aside the electrical power harness (9).

Place the electrical power harness (9) in an insulating bag.

Uncouple :

• The hybrid drive train cooling circuit pipe (10)
• The hybrid drive train cooling circuit pipe (11)

Remove :

• The bolts (12)
• The bolt (13)

Unclip the support and direct voltage transformer (1) assembly (at "b")(in the direction of the arrow ).

Remove the support and direct voltage transformer (1) assembly (on a workbench).

Remove :

• The bolt (15)
• The support (14)
• The direct voltage converter (1)

5. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques.

Tightening torques :

• Components of the hybrid drive train
• Electrical equipment (under bonnet)

Refit :

• The direct voltage converter (1)
• The support (14)
• The bolt (15)

Reclip the support and direct voltage transformer (1) assembly (at "b").

Refit :

• The bolt (13)
• The bolts (12)

Couple up :

• The hybrid drive train cooling circuit pipe (10)
• The hybrid drive train cooling circuit pipe (11)

Remove the insulating bag ‎.

Refit :

• The electrical power harness (9)
• The earth cable (8)
• The nuts (6), (7)

Clip the electrical power harness ‎(at "a").

Refit :

• The electrical harness (4)
• Nut (3)
• The closer (5)
• The protector (2)

6. Additional operations

Refit the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Reconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries(depending on equipment).

ESSENTIAL : Switch the vehicle’s power on .

Fill and bleed the hybrid drive train cooling circuit .

Refit :

• The left-hand rear underbody guard
• The vehicle to its wheels
