Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : On-board charger/direct voltage transformer assembly

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles (observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

N.B. : Traction circuit: traction battery electrical network.

1. Tooling

2. Location

(1) On-board charger/direct voltage transformer assembly.

3. Preliminary operations

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

ESSENTIAL : Switch the vehicle’s power off .

Drain the hybrid drive train cooling circuit .

Remove the rear left protector under the body.

4. Removing

Uncouple :

• The hybrid drive train cooling circuit pipe (2)
• The hybrid drive train cooling circuit pipe (3)

ESSENTIAL : Carry out the procedure for disconnecting the electric power circuit connectors .

Unplug :

• The connectors (at "b", "c" and "d")
• The on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly (1) power connector (at "a")
• The on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly (1) power connector (at "e")
• The on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly (1) power connector (at "f")

Detach the electrical power harness ‎ (at "g").

Remove the nut (4).

Move the earth cable (5) aside.

Place a component lift under the on-board charger/direct voltage transformer assembly (1).

Remove the 3 bolts (6).

Lower the on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly (1) (by 10 to 30 cm).

Unclip the electrical harness (7) (at "h" and "j").

Remove the on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly (1).

5. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

Clip the electrical harness (7) (at "h" and "j").

Refit :

• The on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly (1)
• The 3 bolts (6)

Remove the component lift from under the on-board charger/direct voltage transformer assembly (1).

Refit :

• The earth cable (5)
• Nut (4)

ESSENTIAL : Carry out the procedure for reconnecting the electric power circuit connectors .

Reconnect :

• The connectors (at "b", "c" and "d")
• The on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly (1) power connector (at "a")
• The on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly (1) power connector (at "e")
• The on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly (1) power connector (at "f")

Clip the electrical power harness ‎ (at "g").

Couple up :

• The hybrid drive train cooling circuit pipe (2)
• The hybrid drive train cooling circuit pipe (3)

6. Additional operations

Refit the rear left protector under the body.

ESSENTIAL : Switch the vehicle’s power on .

Fill and bleed the hybrid drive train cooling circuit .

Return the vehicle to its wheels.
