Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Traction battery cooling circuit electric coolant pump ‎

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Location

(1) Traction battery cooling circuit electric coolant pump ‎.

2. Preliminary operations

Put the vehicle on a lift.

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required before disconnecting the ancillaries batteries .

Disconnect the ancillaries batteries (Following the specific procedure ).

Remove :

• The rear left-hand wheel
• The rear under-body protectors(right-hand side)

Drain the traction battery cooling circuit .

3. Removing

Remove the bolts (2).

N.B. : Move aside the rear exhaust silencer (3).

Remove :

• The 5 bolts (7)
• The protection shield (6)
• The bolt (5)
• The nuts (4), (8)
• The exhaust heat shield (9)

Unclip(at "a", "b").

Detach and move aside :

• The traction battery cooling circuit pipe (10)
• The traction battery cooling circuit pipe (11)

Move aside the traction battery cooling circuit electric coolant pump ‎ (1)(at "c") (In the direction of the arrow ).

Disconnect the traction battery cooling circuit electric coolant pump (1) connector  (at "d").

Detach and move aside :

• The traction battery cooling circuit pipe (10)
• The traction battery cooling circuit pipe (12)

Remove the traction battery cooling circuit electric coolant pump (1).

4. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques.

PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

Tightening torques :

• Exhaust line
• Wheels

Refit the traction battery cooling circuit electric coolant pump (1)(at "c").

Couple up :

• The traction battery cooling circuit pipe (12)
• The traction battery cooling circuit pipe (10)

Connect the traction battery cooling circuit electric coolant pump (1) connector  (at "d").

Couple up :

• The traction battery cooling circuit pipe (10)
• The traction battery cooling circuit pipe (11)

Clip(at "a", "b").

Refit :

• The exhaust heat shield (9)
• The nuts (4), (8)
• The bolt (5)
• The protection shield (6)
• The 5 bolts (7)
• The exhaust rear silencer (3)
• The 4 bolts (2)

5. Additional operations

Refit :

• The rear under-body protectors(right-hand side)
• The rear left-hand wheel

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries batteries .

Reconnect the ancillaries batteries (Following the specific procedure ).

Fill and bleed the traction battery cooling circuit .

Return the vehicle to its wheels.
