Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Gearbox input speed sensor

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness instructions .

1. Replacement of parts in all cases

2. Removal

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery .

Disconnect the ancillaries battery.

Remove :

• The air inlet neck (Depending on engine type)
• The air inlet resonator (Depending on engine type)
• The air filter housing (Depending on engine type)

Lift and support the vehicle.

Remove the under-engine protector (depending on equipment).

Drain the automatic gearbox oil .

Move aside the air conditioning pipes (Depending on engine type).

N.B. : The hydraulic block housing (2) contains around 0,5 l of oil.

Remove :

• The electric harness support attached to the gearbox
• The hydraulic block housing (2) bolts (1)
• The hydraulic block casing (2)
• The hydraulic block and the solenoid valves

Disconnect the connector (at "a").

Remove :

• The bolt (3)
• The gearbox input speed sensor (4)

3. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

Refit :

• The gearbox input speed sensor (4)
• The bolt (3)

Connect the connector (at "a").

Refit :

• The hydraulic block and the solenoid valves
• The hydraulic block casing (2) (equipped with a new seal)
• The hydraulic block housing (2) bolts (1) (new)
• The electric harness support attached to the gearbox
• The cooling circuit pipes (Depending on engine type)
• The air filter housing (depending on engine)
• The air inlet resonator (Depending on engine type)
• The air inlet neck (Depending on engine type)
• The under-engine protector (depending on equipment)
• The vehicle to its wheels

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries battery .

Reconnect the ancillaries battery .

Perform the following operations :

• Fill and top up the automatic gearbox oil
• Adaptation programming procedure of the oil pressure solenoid valves and regulators (If the hydraulic block is replaced)
