ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations
.
Whatever its design, an ancillaries battery is subject to slow discharge while on stock, this owing to the following phenomena :
Regular recharging of the ancillaries battery will keep its charge intact.
A voltage lower than the nominal voltage (around 12 Volts) corresponds to a critical level of discharge which can lead to the ancillaries battery suffering damage.
The handing over to the customer of a new vehicle fitted with an ancillaries battery that has been stored with its voltage lower than the nominal voltage often engenders problems that spell dissatisfaction to the Customer and cost to the Marque.
Check the state of charge of the ancillaries battery while it is on stock, when destocking and also during the New Vehicle Preparation (PDI), so as to prevent it from reaching the critical level of discharge.

4. Charging of ancillaries battery 1
4.1. Recommendations and instructions
CAUTION : Recharging the ancillaries battery 1 when connected to the vehicle using tooling that does not meet the specifications described below may destroy the ECUs on the vehicle.
The recharging must be carried out in a well-ventilated area.
Do not remove the ancillaries battery 1 in order to recharge it.
Recharging the ancillaries battery 1 must be carried out with the battery connected to the vehicle, using a battery charger which meets the following criteria (Normal, "EF" or "VRLA / AGM" types of battery) :
